The peninsula of Evia
Evia is still one of the islands that has kept its charm of old times. It is not yet known to common tourism but it is really worthwhile visiting. There are beautiful sandy beaches in the North, but also quiet beaches with pebbles. F.e. in Pefki, for those who love pebbles. Also the city of Halkida is very interesting. You can enjoy nightlife but also look at the rapidly floating water under the old bridge that connects Evia with the mainland. It is impressive! Furthermore there are the warm water springs in Loutra Edipsou where many people go to be healed. Evia can be reached via Halkida and by boat from Arkitsa and Volos.
