The city of Athens
Athens is a city of extremes. The entertainment is good and for shopping you have to go to Athens. Don't stay to long because sometimes there is smog. Once you have seen the special places like the Acropolis, Monastiraki and the National Museum, you better make plans to see other beautiful parts of Greece.
We mostly plan a couple of days in Athens to buy some nice presents for at home. The public transport is very well organized, aspecially by metro which is now improved with an east-west connection to the new airport at Spata.
