The area of Pilion (Greek mainland)
The Pelion peninsula, central Greece, is like the Alps of Austria. One can find out here the palet of different landscapes Greece has to offer. The best way to get around here is by motorcycle or by car. Zagora is a very nice place to spent the night (in a pension), because it is cool even during the hottest summer and has nearby a beautiful beach at Chorefto. There you can find yourself at beautiful sandy beach with cristal clear water. We didn't like the touristic Ag. Ioannis which is praised in many leaf lets.
During the winter it is a very attractive ski-area.

| Tsangarada Much nicer are the places more to the south with platan trees which are over 1000 years old, like Tsangarada (see 2nd picture). There you meet the real Greeks and you will experience the real Greece! Mostly there are foliage trees and now and than you will find beautifull waterfalls. |  |
